Fortunately, chatlogs and other interactions in a game are usually more than sufficient to discern the intentions of a player {… because folks have a bad habit of talking, freely, without thought, in the open-}.
It’s unlikely that any final decision will be just automated, other than use of heuristics to know who to look at and narrow things down.
I would say they can detect duping pretty easily, I doubt if it was very sophisticated.
Everything is logged, and cheaters are stupid. I bet they will see 0coin transactions for all the stuff that was bought, and the culprits wont have anyone to blame but themselves.
Any streamer saying they are leaving the game, “Because it is too bad or bugged” is probably leaving because they cheated and know they are being banned anyway. Unsubscribe from them, and don’t go back, because they are part of the problem.
Some people were talking about being gifted coin by someone they didn’t know.
I’d say the risk is pretty high if they collected that coin without reporting it.
Sure if your head is in the sand. I’m certain no innocent person has ever been misjudged by the horde of armchair online investigators. I’m also sure no one has ever been charged with a crime they haven’t committed in real life either /s
Depends. Mistakes happen but rate of depends of people making the mistakes. If you get gold you don’t remember coming do not use it before you know its yours legit. (For example in ESO when bidding for multiple guild traders happened, game itself duped gold because messing refunding. Guild masters who used that gold before it was removed, either by ignorance or knowing it and being stupid destroyed economy of their guild.)
Facts! Which would make the act of being concerned about getting caught up in the bans warranted no? Which is the point of this thread. Instead, we have folks flying in here with capes accusing people of cheating without any proof.
At this moment? I think that’s the case. Don’t let my understanding of the OP concerns translate into my being concerned for myself. That seems to be what’s happening here.
