Worried about accidental ban

I would say they can detect duping pretty easily, I doubt if it was very sophisticated.

Everything is logged, and cheaters are stupid. I bet they will see 0coin transactions for all the stuff that was bought, and the culprits wont have anyone to blame but themselves.

Any streamer saying they are leaving the game, “Because it is too bad or bugged” is probably leaving because they cheated and know they are being banned anyway. Unsubscribe from them, and don’t go back, because they are part of the problem.

The timing is not a coincidence.

If there is one fact in life it’s that only guilty people are worried

cackles in anxiety

Sweet summer child…

A lot of gold buyers worried.

That’s how every corrupt officer in real life thinks & a reason every good judge threw a case out of their courtroom.

I have no idea what that means. If your innocent u have nothing to worry about, it’s a simple fact.

Some people were talking about being gifted coin by someone they didn’t know.
I’d say the risk is pretty high if they collected that coin without reporting it.

Sure if your head is in the sand. I’m certain no innocent person has ever been misjudged by the horde of armchair online investigators. I’m also sure no one has ever been charged with a crime they haven’t committed in real life either /s

Depends. Mistakes happen but rate of depends of people making the mistakes. If you get gold you don’t remember coming do not use it before you know its yours legit. (For example in ESO when bidding for multiple guild traders happened, game itself duped gold because messing refunding. Guild masters who used that gold before it was removed, either by ignorance or knowing it and being stupid destroyed economy of their guild.)

Facts! Which would make the act of being concerned about getting caught up in the bans warranted no? Which is the point of this thread. Instead, we have folks flying in here with capes accusing people of cheating without any proof.

if you didnt abuse anything or werent part of an abuse scheme you’ll be fine

Devs allready said that if you feel that you were banned unjustified you can appeal. Just look at the Dev tracker, it’ll be there.

I doubt they will ban u or anybody else for buying something cheap from market, or buying some item(s) cheaper and put for sell for higher price.

At this moment? I think that’s the case. Don’t let my understanding of the OP concerns translate into my being concerned for myself. That seems to be what’s happening here.

if you got 100k randomly and said nothing/used it, ya might get some action taken, but thats not really a case of being uninvolved

that was to the OP who is worried about action being taken when nothing abnormal occureebwith him

Sorry about that. My comment was intended for others.

I think you’re relatively safe. They won’t draw a list out of their audit database and “big bang” … “nuke” all suspected accounts. No DBA in its right mind would do this. They will review the results. Will there be some collateral damage - even after thorough reviews? Yes, it’ll happen. Honestly, it’s a real balancing act: can they track you buying (unsuspectedly) a duped item from the Trade post? Not duping yourself but spending your “savings” on that Void ingot that you needed to craft your dream piece of gear? I don’t know how “deep” their audits go. And, are they going to delete it, is the next question.

All fair questions. But I think not. They will probably be looking for patterns: how did one person go from 1 gold to 100K gold in one hour (just an example, I don’t know how fast/slow the dupe works), how many void ores does one person have on time x and then an hour later? How long did it take for someone to get full void armour? How long did it take for a Company to get full void armour … you get the drift.

Only guessing here, but I think that a company with that kind of history will have solid auditing in place … but we don’t know. But still, I think you don’t need to worry a lot.

My humble opinion based on big software project experience (not gaming).

EDIT: typos

I have absolutely zero fear in this so not certain why you should.

People should focus on what has happened not what will possibly, probably not, definatley hasn’t happened yet :stuck_out_tongue: Focus on the now not the maybe. oof so philisophical!
