If he’s interested in Ranged Dps you tell them there are 3 physical ranged weapons.
The BlunderBuss a short CqC weapon
The Musket a mid to long range weapon
The Bow a short to long range weapon
Counterstrike is not a TPS.
What I see is you trying to make fixed variables. If a player is bad at the Shooter Genre, then they’re bad at the shooter genre. If a Player is bad at TPS but not FPS then they’re good at FPS and not TPS. If a player is good at TPS but not FPS then they’re good at TPS and not FPS.
Again FPS has nothing to do with New World
This is a fixed scenario designed to only have the answer you want. This kind of scenario hurts your stance rather than anything else.
The headshot mechanic falls under a wide array of games not limited to the Shooter Genre. You clearly do not understand what an FPS is, nor do you seem to understand the Shooter genre in general, or even the MMORPG genre. So honestly, cut the farce.

If the friend wants to get into New World, sounds like they already have their mind made and want to give it a try.
In that scenario, sure. Go ahead and try the game. Can either choose between ranger pew pew or wizard stuff.
But, in a real world situation, would I advise them to try New World in the current state/ at the current time? No. There are plenty of issues with the game that need ironing out.
For me, New World is the best PvE MMO experience out there right now. But PvP is not only comically bad, but flawed at its core and has been that way since launch.
My suggestions are very standard, boilerplate video game setups. Its cool that AGS wanted to try something new, but I think its time to admit that its not working.
Bro the pvp is legit fine your solutions to nonexistent problems are completely stupid and would NEVER work.
All they have to do is:
Make the medium armor dodge smoother, it still stops for half a second where light and heavy dodges dont
They should make shirking fortification slightly more effective on heavy and medium compared to light
Nimble perk should get a massive buff, currently it is near useless
Rapier’s mobility should get a massive nerf as it is plain stupid
Self healing should get nerfed by about 25-35%. It wouldnt affect pve much at all, because in pve the healer is focused on healing their group, not themselves. In pvp it would make it so healers are not literally invincible while also making all their teammates invincible
It is not true at all, New World PVE is totaly Horrible compared to Tower Of Fantasy, ESO, FF14 and many more … New World is immersive 100% but not a PVE game at all to me !
It was meant for interaction points, ressources control over different territory and PVP combat action !
PVE was Taxi Quest, there is not a single NPC that interact with others NPC at all in the game ! There is almost no storyline except reading and talking to NPC and reading Books. This is not a PVE GAME at all !
Actually yes even if the camera is 6 inches away from the character is still not considered a FPS game more like a 3rd person shooter lol. And for Fortnite I believe they added actual First person mode while shooting lmao. I would do alittle bit more research before posting something.
