I would easily level to 60 and 625 again cause those are easy. Even gathering and refining are easy. But I’m never going to level crafting again.
Well like that’s the point though is it’s not just shuttering the game then reopening. Ideally that reboot phase gives them time to unbrick crafting and try, you know, a system meant for real, actual humans. At the very least, it could make it less of a grind.
If they made crafting more on par with the other progressions like character level, gs, refining and gathering, then I would consider it. But I would dread having to grind all of the crafting again as it stands now. This includes crafting gear and trophies too.
I would, but I look at the game very differently. Each reset is a redo of trying to create a functioning civilization.
It’s always interesting. Will it repeat its mistakes, go another route, oh look its imploding! Think of it being Savage from the DC universe…
Come back to play the same game I left ? Don’t think so if I want to come back to level up 1-60 i can do it now but even that is boring.
God damn bro does nobody in this thread understand that the reboot would mean a pretty significant look into all the game’s bugs, weaknesses, etc.? Even functional systems would be tooled over to fit into the new vision.
I get AGS has sufficiently proven that they can’t do the MMO thing but the game itself has promise and a reboot would mean trying to realize that promise, not just shuttering then rereleasing the game… it would likely involve bringing in more team members too.
Are the changes in the reboot spelled out somewhere that I’m missing?
What a reboot without deleting characters ? I don’t understand your point
Well no, but the expectation that things would remain the same is kind of, I dunno, shortsighted?
I’m not confident that AGS feels the crafting grind is that far off.
People just don’t like the game anymore that’s the price they have to pay for releasing a incomplete game, that’s what people do they play, if they don’t like it they move to the next game a bad first impression always kills the popularity of the game and never gets out unless a new game…
Yeah, AGS is kind of the sticking point here too for a handful… I mean a reboot is probably off the table by now anyway so it’s all probably moot but one would hope they’d get some kind of specialist on board to help them be less… you know… okay with things like the crafting grind.
In the recent scot lane interview, crafting came up particularity about trophy mats and scot reiterated how valuable he thinks crafting is in the game from both a gear and gold generating standpoint. I took from it that he thinks crafting leveling and trophy/gear grind is pretty close to where it should be. I personally think crafting and finding the gear and trophies is way too hard. The 25% leveling buff in next patch is defiantly a step in the right direction and so is the gear buffs. Trophies need to be addressed next.
I never thought I would say that one day, but even Lameforge gave up their position of worst publisher in the world for AGS.
I’m just waiting for great swords before I dip back in and see what’s up.
I love this game but i would quit if they rebooted and i lost all my progress. Completely unnecessary. The game is doing great already it only needs a few more months. After that it just needs to get advertised
I already mentioned this in other posts, you don’t even need a reboot, just put 1 new server per region, there are so few people per server (only 2000), that it is very easy to fill. With this you can attract new and old players who want an improved experience to what New World offered previously. That if, in case of opening new servers, transfers to them should be blocked.
0-60 is a piece of cake. 500-600 is the boring grind.
Even, I prefer that they leave as lvl 65 maximum than the current experience system and threshold system included.
I do wish there there were other options to get there. Add an aptitude to use weapon skill XP to aid in the expertise leveling. Make it a grind equal to logging or fishing. Each level is 1 point and no leveling cap per day.
