It’s not about having a working game, it’s about making sure all servers are correctly configured.

from what ive seen in the dev forum they encountered some errors with their maintenance the game breaking point may be a thing it may not who knows but i just hope they fix what they broke
Why cant we have both?
I would rather them test out the patch on another client before they try to put it on the live client so they don’t extend maintenance. Its trillion dollar company and no reason why this should be happening . Also yesterday maintenance without warning anyone was very backhanded .
Which is not great, I’d always assumed that half the point of New World was to advertise AWS and what it can do for game development (and make Amazon even more money in the process).
But so far the scalability it advertises has given us hundreds of new servers with small population caps, and if the implication is that it makes deploying patches take this much longer then it seems like a pretty bad system.
hey now if they broke a thing and they fix it and call it a pre existing bug and then get praised for messing up and fixing it might as well be an order of flex tape to fix that boat they sawed in half
Spittin straight FAX
bro just give them a break, its literally week one of a brand new MMO…
Falling through the world was a fun one. Fishing crashes, portal run crashes, excavation crashes.
Having the entire UI vanish (There is a fix that sometimes works), map going blank, losing all navigation markers, black screen. Fun stuff you need to reload the client for.
Wouldn’t be so bad if I wasn’t already invested 54 levels on a server that peak times queue 3k players. Roughly 7 hours. Crash or have to reload, and you’re done for the day.
You can run into a lot of issues when squashing bugs and the like with games. I’m happy that it is taking longer because I feel as the consumer more is being done. However when we all get back into the game, that is when we will know. So until then I’m happy to be patient

Imagine NEW WORLD…But ur able to play the game

Spit ( we are facing this Bs since alpha just saying ) another spit
I would like if they could do patching at night time/morning time, not in day time.
Yea I agree with you, honestly kind of surprised they had these issues. I would of expected 0 minutes of downtime with a completely silent patch.
Yesterday maintenance was worst no warning or anything and servers went back up super late it was like 2 am when i went to bed to try to make up
.
Watch your words boy! The devs do not make any mistakes here! We should be thankfull to play the game we payed for. They should consider a subscription model for all non pime member and a whole day of server maintaince like a sabbath.
If you’ve looked at the bugs section of the forum the amount of bug fixes is very light. They haven’t even fixed the bug that stops you putting a camp down to progress the main story at the very start of the game. Thats a pretty gamebreaking bug.
I’d rather have neither issues yet after this round of bug fixing and maintenance we’ll still have plenty of both…
Would make getting prime membership worth.
Couldnt have said that better…
I am an IT Admin myself and the job that Amazon is delivering so far is cringeworthy…
