Falling through the world was a fun one. Fishing crashes, portal run crashes, excavation crashes.
Having the entire UI vanish (There is a fix that sometimes works), map going blank, losing all navigation markers, black screen. Fun stuff you need to reload the client for.
Wouldn’t be so bad if I wasn’t already invested 54 levels on a server that peak times queue 3k players. Roughly 7 hours. Crash or have to reload, and you’re done for the day.
You can run into a lot of issues when squashing bugs and the like with games. I’m happy that it is taking longer because I feel as the consumer more is being done. However when we all get back into the game, that is when we will know. So until then I’m happy to be patient
Watch your words boy! The devs do not make any mistakes here! We should be thankfull to play the game we payed for. They should consider a subscription model for all non pime member and a whole day of server maintaince like a sabbath.
If you’ve looked at the bugs section of the forum the amount of bug fixes is very light. They haven’t even fixed the bug that stops you putting a camp down to progress the main story at the very start of the game. Thats a pretty gamebreaking bug.
I’d rather have neither issues yet after this round of bug fixing and maintenance we’ll still have plenty of both…
They do make mistakes but that’s why u test out patches in test clients before even announcing maintenance or an update . So extended maintenance dosent happen. To me it seems they are practicing on the main client that’s a good way to start writing sphagetti .
I would rather they have a test enviroment for their patches so they have a better idea of time/issues before they go to live. Human nature. If they said they were doing maintenance for 7 hours there would be grumbling. However tell people it will be 4 hours then keep extending the time and people start to get angry.
Yeah, I was only talking about my personal experience (96.9 hours according to Steam, though some of that will obviously be in queues).
I’ve had the bulk of my UI vanish a few times, but it’s always been fixed by pressing tab twice.
And I’ve on one ocassion had chat bug first to the point where it would only show the 1 last message, and then further to where the chat overlay completely broke and I could only read chat by pressing enter (or esc, or any other key to open up the full UI and view the chat). But given my main comms are external to the game this was hardly a big deal for me either.
And, of course, I’ve had the inconvinience of “you are leaving the area, return to be eligable for rewards” being stuck on my screen and the compass stopping showing the things it should be tracking.
