Wrongfully banned last night for 6 hours

Yesterday I logged off NW around 7:30-ish EST and after a hour or so logged back in to see I was banned for 6 hours citing code of conduct violation and prevented me from seeing as to why and from logging in here to ask why. I am a solo player, barely ever talk in any in game chat and when I do it’s to answer someone with a game question IF I know I can help. I don’t pvp, I have never cheated in any sort of way because I’m NOT risking 1300 hours of me grinding, gathering, crafting to be a low life cheater and exploit it. I stay in MY lane, I do NOT bother others in game, I use the basic keyboard/mouse combo, I use steam to run NW, but no other 3rd type of whatever. I appealed it bc I work in the mornings and wanted an hour in before bed but got the standard bot email response and gave NO reason…N O N E. I follow the rules, I stay in my own lane, I try to be helpful and the MOST I ā€˜chat’ is actually HERE, on forums, not even in game. I made a post about a mission not working yesterday and after I log out, this happens. The name is ā€œMadam Healerā€ on the Castle of Steel (US-East) server, can you please @Aenwyn look into what is going on? I have never been banned from any game, ever and so while not a huge issue bc I wasn’t perma-banned but I want to know what exactly I done to warrant a ban. I was wrongfully banned for cheating and never used any program even Minimap. I don’t know what is happening with EAC and AGS but a lot of people is becoming banned with no reason and the bots and cheaters are free. Unfortunately the AGS support is bullshit and they don’t care, just send to you the same automatically message… Very disrespectful.

That’s because we gamers have no consumer protection laws to help us. Video Gaming industry is basically the Wild Wild West. And until something drastically happens. It will remain so. What worst, is that there are some Stockholm Syndrome gamers that will go to bat for these practices.

As a Community Manager, I’m not part of the Game Moderation or Support team. I don’t have any visibility into Game Moderation or the actions that team takes or access to the tools or reports that they use to determine suspensions. However, I’ve brought your name up for your ban to be reviewed by that team again!

When you don’t know what you’ve done wrong it’s really difficult to not do it again.

I mentioned this earlier today the only way to have the Game Moderation team review your ban is by reaching out via the ā€œAppeal a Banā€ link. As Aenwyn said above, no one on the forums has the ability to investigate ban appeals or in-game moderation action.

I see that Aenwyn will forward it to the team to review; however, as moderation actions are discussed only with the player involved, I have closed this thread.
