So far I’ve only tested light and medium armor dodges, and they are both horrendous. What was the reason for these changes? What was wrong with dodges? WHY??
Light dodge has some weird gliding animation after it now, that keeps gliding in the direction you rolled. You can not change this direction during the “gliding”, but if you turn 180 degrees it won’t do the glide. ???
Medium dodge is super awkward, and has a sort of stutter when dodging+weaponswapping (only when swapping Gaxe->WH, not WH->Gaxe for some reason?) ???
Also, Leaping Strike ability on SnS is completely broken and will get canceled by literally anything hitting you during the animation. ???
before the change…if you dodged with light armor and swapped weapons at the end of the animation you didnt stagger at the end…was a fluid dodge…same with med and heavy armor…now they removed having to weapon swap to get the same effect
I think I understand. They noticed that most people were using weapon swap to cancel the dodge animation, so they changed it so you don’t need to do this any more.
Can confirm swapping to WH while dodging with medium armor is kinda wonky. It seems to be cancelling part the dodge animation. Doesn’t happen when swapping to other weapons.
I haven’t logged in since the patch. How is attack chain (“animation locked”) working? I found it frustrating during a mutation to see myself standing in shit on the ground, willing and trying to move, but being unable to since I was animation locked in an attack chain. My understanding is they tried to fix that. Is that behaving better?
What about light attacks? Sorry to keep bothering you with something I could log in and find out myself, but I can’t muster the willpower to log in, especially if the mutation is still Dynasty as some people have mentioned.
