Also blocking them, its not a trade channel for a reason, but it should be added, most MMOS dont even have a help channel but a trade channel is always there.

The only ones crying are the spammers because they don’t want to be held accountable for messing up chat. Been playing mmos since EQ, there is a trading system in the game for a reason. It plays into the territory control aspect of the game. Spam and cry all you want, just expect to get reported as most players are fed up with it. Considering the past couple posters have nothing intelligent to say I will assume they are just more spamming dbags 
I think I might report all the ‘LFM Priest run’ etc
I’d rather see what people are selling.

I’m not a seller, I’m a buyer. I happen to enjoy shopping for end game gear on the chat. The ones that are annoying are the ones that put like 20 trash items in the message, stuff that would struggle to sell for less than 10g on the market. Those are probably the ones being called out in the chat. But if you are reporting every single WTS message then you have issues dude.

They need to stop quadruple taxing a single crafting/selling chain.
Taxed when you buy raw mats
Taxed when you craft
Taxed when you list the item

Global is seen across the server. What we don’t need is a recruitment channel. If they had a trade channel, I would agree. Till then I’m using global.
Obviously spamming is never ok, but get real. You can just mute spammers.

I wanted to make my reply a bit clearer.
When players sell items, some do one or two and that’s fine. It doesn’t take up alot of the char box. But having a player fill up the allowed 400 characters and spam that WTS message every few minutes … THAT is something that is insane. Our chat box is small already.
That’s why just having a Trade chat is needed. And no, I won’t report anyone for that. I just block them for a time, or as many suggested, mute Global for a time.

I believe the main issue here is the lack of customization for chat. I find the entire communication system a bit lackluster/uninspired.
I wouldn’t mind:
The ability to create new chat windows with filter controls
Or a trade chat with an anti-spam window of like 3 - 5 seconds
Any spammers selling golden steel/polished marble chests or major trophies over the last day or two was almost certainly a DUPER trying to move their duped product quickly, so if you see these people please investigate and report if you know they are suspicious
it may be not spam as mentioned above but it is certainly against game intended mechanics. trade post is for trading paying fees etc as part of the game. if someone just point in chat selling and for example add at everfall its ok but ppl selling outside game mechanics via dm. as much as i dont care it is against rules intended by developers. so i think there will be changes soon

I understand WTS in chat when there is a super legendary or super rare item. If anything, just to avoid loosing 2 or 3 k in taxes/fee when you sell it. (they really should reduce those…). But what is uber annoying, is people spamming WTS with useless low quality items or ressources…
