How stupid is the XP system in New World? I reached level 60 and I am still earning XP!? Why?

Imagine … Once you reached level 60:
1 XP could be transferred in 0.5 gold & 0.5 reputation? IDK … Do something and hurry up! The actual system is more than stupid
