Most of the changes are actually nerfs. Didn’t even get the most requested change which was a faster animation to burnout. There are 4 changes that are big and will have a nice impact. 2 are kinda whatever. And the rest are nerfs. Plus more and more people will swap t fire gems and also run ele aversion. Firestaff will be more viable than before but still in no place to be nerfed again.

I don’t really agree with your statement.
Bruisers actually have an insanely high skill ceiling. I see such a big difference between a mediocre and skilled bruiser in combat.
Also for a bruiser to successfully 1v1 most ranged classes now it takes a considerable amount of skill finding a proper window to chain skills after catching them to commit a kill otherwise they will escape pot and reset the engagement.
Just because they don’t really have much to “aim” baiting to successfully land a combo to do effective damage is much harder than any ranged player shooting and managing stamina these days.
I not agree with all fore staff buffs, because youndont meed hit enemy directly to do dmg, every fs iser will hit ground with heavy atack and still will do full dmg
Flamethrower and high skill is a tough sell.

Thats fine but high skill it is not. And Fireball’s hit box is pretty forgiving. If by skill you mean playing close enough to melee to have a good kda I agree but if the playstyle is kiting and lobbing aoe’s from safety there isnt much skill involved if no risk is taken.
There are very skilled mages out there but they would be skilled on any build. Mage isnt difficult in and of itself.
No build is really difficult tbh. Bow is probably takes the most practice. Generally mages have to to play closer to melee and their mobility is pretty bad. Feels more fair at least to me. Burnout can be cancelled, entomb locks in place, shower you can just walk around. Don’t think lobbing fireballs from safety will be a very effective playstyle

That is not true. There are not many good bruisers. 9/10 are bad with build. Good bruiser is not easy to play couse you have to time what you do with what enemy deos to be effective with it.
Maybe on wars where you get consta heals its brainded stupid. But on small scale bruiser isnt that simple to play it well.
Ppl do use FT couse it does tons of dmg in comparrsion to other skills. Its best skill on FS to do dmg over time. No other skill can be even compared to it.
But fact it very close range skill makes it very risky to use. Much more risky than any other FS skill.
But it will change after patch. Most FS users will probably drop FT for PoF and stick with fireball.
There’s nothing worse than being a melee in this game, or any game for that matter. The only way to deal damage is to be in your enemy’s face, and almost every skill/perk in this game tries to stop you from doing that. If you allowed a melee user to catch up to you, and kill you, then you deserved that.

Yes I think there will still be BB FS in heavy or medium that will still use FT and maybe in PVE FT will still be used for the consistent damage. I think patch will just add more diversity instead of FT being in every build

The Firestaff has the second lowest base damage in the game, only the lifestaff is worse (At least the last time I checked). You can check this yourself, remove all stats and gear then look at the base damage of weapons on the faction vendor.
