crap weapon
recently a bug with one of the perks caused all basic arrow attacks to have a larger hit box. Its being worked out in ptr but it only makes light attacks have a larger hit box.
They said bow requires skill because you have to aim

The fuck is this. I’ve seen a lot of back and forth arguing if arrows turn mid air, this is undisputable.
I think it’s more hilarious it curved and still didn’t actually hit his character, but still did damage lmao. Desync? Who knows at this point. ![]()
It’s not desync, watch the rest of the shots in the clip that guy couldn’t hit the broadside of a barn.
In archery, you can quite literally make arrows curve.
And in real life I can rip a hole in the dimension with my giant battle-axe.
Its the power of friendship that makes it curve. He needs to protect his friends so plotarmor gets applied.
What you see is dsync. Its not a bug or anything. Just dsync that happens afte arrow was fired.
Have you heard about active homing system . You did not watch some Ukrainin- Russian war vods. Everything fine with bow. It happends often bow’s light attacks are like this - hitbox is broken.
Lowkey, I’m a Musket/Bow main and the arrows actually do curve (from the POV of the guy getting hit by arrows) but from the bow user’s POV, the hitbox is so fat the you can hit the target even if your crosshair isn’t even on him.
Sure, hitting targets with a bow can be way more difficult from a good distance but at this distance from the screenshot you simply CANNOT miss unless you’re physically handicapped and you have no fingers.
Ummm u forgot about the one of a kind musket that has 10x the range and 50x the accuracy of all known muskets. Or all the magic gloves unlike any gloves weve seen irl that shoot ice and void matter. Staffs that throw fire and great axes that control the very gravity were slaves to. If we are to puck on bow we need to hold the other weapons to the standards that u would like imposed on bow.
I think it’s something about the visual coding vs server check. You can replicate this at will with the Archer NPCs in Brimstone. If you pay attention to their arrows, you’ll notice them curve to hit you as well.
Now as for if this is a visual glitch or a legit tracking issue, who knows? I mean, your bloody buff bars are tied to your windows clock time sync (I shit you not, resync to fix your buff bar if it bugs out). That is some hella special coding.
It’s not limited to bow, I saw the same thing on a FS auto attack.
Perhaps It’s just a desync consequence
yeah it feels like its this way:
Projectile hit was registered. The animation didnt hit the target yet though. Character moved and then the curvature happens. Because the arrow hit you already but the animation didnt I guess.
Archer shoots
Arrow: “Hey Server, did i hit?”
Server: “Hello Arrow, how are you today?”
Arrow: “Bro, we are in combat! Hurry up! Did i hit?”
Server: " Why so mean Arrow? I just try to do some conversation"
Arrow: “Yea,Yea i’m fine! So did i hit?”
Server: “Nice to hear. Don’t you wanna know how I’m doing?”
Arrow: “Fine! How are you?”
Server: “Nice that you ask. I have so much to do right now and no one is thanking me for my hard work”
Arrow: “Oh, im sorry! So did i hit?”
Server: " Let me caculate this for you real quick"
…a few moments later…
Server: "Yea, you hit your target. congrats, buddy!
Arrow: “Thanks, dude”
meanwhile, the target has moved quite a bit
