So to be clear you are experiencing these issues also? It isnt some random event thats happening to me and a few others lol?
I only ask because of (2) other people in this thread seem to imply these issues are on our end not on the servers

Look man calm down. You’re being a bit too emotional even when im trying to help. If its a network problem there are ways to help diagnose this. Are you on ethernet? Are all your cables cat6 for better signal quality? Have you tried testing for packet loss? Maybe it’s your firewall or router filtering packets from new world. There are ways to tell your router to trust new world packets and even prioritize them. Help us help you bro don’t attack us
Honestly server performance has been pretty scuffed. The game has always had a touch of lag and desync but over the last week on Orofena I would desync across the map.
I literally got desynced from mid in OPR all the way to moon. It was wild it felt like I teleported.
Server performance is horrendous. I can only assume they’ve been messing with things behind the scenes preparing for brimstone and they did something that is causing terrible server performance.
It isn’t just me either, my whole 5 man squad I regularly play with is all feeling it. It isn’t subtle it’s very noticeable

Same feeling for all our guildies too even with top cfg computers and internet co
Our Last hope is that brimstone update will upgrade server/game performance
Otherwise im afraid people will give up

How many people need to show up here and state their experiencing the same issues or others before you accept the fact it might be on amazons end
Your help is not required you can see what bloodangel1378 stirred up with me for asking amazon for a response He literally came into the thread to troll and sure enough he got what he wanted
So ill state it again If the game works for you even on our server thats great the rest of us arent that lucky
So feel free to leave the thread because at this point if you arent here to confirm that in fact the server performances are getting worse for you then all your doing is derailing my thread
Theres more then enough people making it clear theyv experienced issues and i dont buy 100% its all on our ends and nothing to do on amazons side
And im not saying its 100% on amazon sides but it sure as hell getting worse
I dont like people coming into my threads telling me what i am experiencing and what others are experiencing for performance issues Is in fact because of our computers or internet without even acknowledging the possibility that it may be something to do with amazons servers that are Overpopulated
While countless people have their own threads stating they are dealing with these issues across several servers

I’m on Ygg honestly don’t play as much I use to since the serve cap increased creating server lag and dsync before the pop increase I would have roughly 50-60 ping with some spikes depending on the day. Now I have 180-200 on occasion, with a norm of 130-150 ping I don’t know what has happened in that time frame but as time goes on it’s getting worse to the point where I really don’t want to play anymore. I can play lots of other games at 40 ping what’s going on with this turd of a net for this game?

I was on Ygg and El Dorado when I was on West coast and they were butter smooth, but I have a pretty high end rig. Not the highest but I am well above the avg rig on Steam.
This game is a resource hog. This is not an easy game to play and it will need more optimization. The Network card was a big bottle neck for me and changing my power settings for it really made a huge difference for me.
I hate to say it though, if your PC isn’t a powerhouse, it will keep being tough for you till the game is more optimized.
I can say my pc is a power house also I run the 5950x and a 2080ti seems to be a net issue on their end.

You made a thread on a community forum in general discussion section… alright listen to yourself. How about you post in a place that Amazon actually checks like bug reports or game feedback. Maybe submit a ticket? With your attitude I hope you perma lag and quit the game at this point. New World will be a better place without you. Also hide your ip address because if someone gets their hands on it they could perma ddos you 
People like you are belligerent with your liberties that you seem to take for granted all the so called fixes you said i should try iv done countless other people have come into the thread saying they are suffering simular issues

This may be a slight exaggeration of the current performance issues but i think the image fits you pretty well
I play on this server and have had ZERO issues with any of this. And even on the ECR’s with tons of people still no issue.
See your statement i can understand 100% and respond respectfully your statement basically says this game requires alot to run smooth and if i dont have a high end computer and set up Ill probably see some lag
And i 100% support and agree with that assessment My computer is older does have issues and my internet isnt outstanding so i expect some issues when playing thats a given
These other guys seem to think i am going to shit out a $8000 computer set up fully optimized to play new world Im not I cant afford to And if thats what it takes to run the game smoothly at this point then id say the game is partially at fault and the server performance deteriorating is a result of the overpopulation

Ok i can understand you might have a high end rigged computer i suspect like the other folks in the thread?
Now i can understand having a shiny completely optimized computer with good internet might get rid of most of these issues Or lessen them to the point were people dont notice i will say i have a hard time believing a well set up computer with all the trimmings internet ect completely negates All of the issues other people are experiencing
Now just because i dont believe it doesnt mean it aint true but otherwise this scenario would imply everyone who is experiencing these issues are all running shitty computers and the people that dont experience them Are all on expensive rigs
But meet me in the middle here can you honestly tell me you never experience Any issues? And i mean none over the past month on our server even when it went down a few weeks ago and Amazon outright came out and Said their was issues with our server and el dorado the other west server
Surely when they make statements like that its pretty much them confirming there are issues
End of the day either 1 that in fact high end rigs do completely negate all of the issues 100% Or imo they shield those computers from said issues that the server is experiencing which im personally inclined to believe
I’m on that server as well, but I haven’t experienced lag. Rarely, some weird things might happen. Like hit boxes not registering until enemies get close enough to melee strike. Or tonight, 3 of my musket shots registered the hit after ½ second from firing. These are very much the exception and not the rule however.
As nabbs mentioned, I’ve been tagging along ECRs every night and it’s crazy how many people show up with all kinds of things going on in battles. I haven’t experienced any problems. However, the open world zones were definitely not designed for 50+ people steamrolling them. Still, the server has been able to handle it from my experience.
For problems such as this, I would recommend getting technical and bringing forth evidence of the problem. Install CPU, GPU, disk, and network monitoring tools to evaluate what’s going on. That may or may not be in your realm to provide, but such evidence collection and analysis really does go a long way to help the devs troubleshoot the problem. Without that material, it’s guesswork unless the problem truly is widespread.
So,
I know they are doing some stuff on the servers in the background, this will often result in degraded performance. There are a few threads i found when i was experiencing much higher than normal ping and lag spikes. 100ms to 150ms, with occasional spikes to 600-800
But my ping to AWS US-East was fine, this persisted for the last week but since then has been back to normal inside the game. (60ms)
Sometimes i think that’s what’s happening, i’m sure it’s more noticeable on lower end computers, probably much less on a fancy rig (I play on a potato)
