I bought this game to play with some friends on a fresh server, 53 minutes has passed excatly since the server opened and I can’t create character cause it’s already full? What??? What is this bullshit system??? At least give us a long ass queue but to not let me play with friends is such a prick system.
So yeah I’m sorry I had work stuff to do and I couldn’t be there when launch was, thanks for ruining my experience. Please disable this stupid ass system on Gaea and let me enjoy the product I bought.

Tell your friends to delete their characters and start over with you on another server. Server locks are necessary if you dont want to sit in a queue for 6 hours

I am sorry to hear you are having issues getting into certain servers.
Please note, some servers are presently unavailable for transfers as they are either full or not accepting transfers (locked). You can try moving to a different server with availability or wait on the server to become available with no specific time frame for when this may happen. You can check on the server status here.

do the queues actually stay that long after launch though? Usually in most game launches I’ve been in, the queue can be bad for a week, maybe two, but after that it evens out and goes away as some people start to drop off.
This method of doing it just seems really shitty for wanting to play with friends, especially if the window to create characters is so small. It’s crazy, either I wait around watching the server list like a bot for multiple days in a row, hoping to catch a brief moment where they open it up again. Or all my friends/guildies reroll on one of the (now high pop, with queues) unlocked servers just for me and another guy out of our 10 man guild…
I’ve never been in an MMO launch where the conditions for rolling characters at launch were so silly and hard to coordinate.

Oh I know but the system was designed by AGS so, by definition… 
Thanks to the locks and constant opening of new servers, there are currently almost no queues and all the fresh start servers are full. Theyre also currently ALL unlocked so you can join your friends at this time. Without this stuff the queues would for sure stay long
The system makes no sense, my server has started to drop players and queues have shorten and the creation of characters it’s still locked, so now I’ve 2 friends who I persuaded to buy the game unabled to play with me.
