We (players) very apreciate your desire to make New World as best as possible. But right now you are making FATAL error.
MMorpg - means Massively Multiplayer… 10 servers with 2k online is not “Massively Multiplayer” while 2 servers with 10k online is.
We (players) all gathered here to play with our guilds and to play against other strong guilds. 2k-online servers can not provide space for many big communities. And splitting our communities to different small servers you are making swampy empty servers without balanced guild vs guild PvP.
You amazon shown yourself as company which really listen to players feedback. This is amazing, you really are the best here! But we need you to listen us one more time because otherwise you’ll lose all attention to your perspective game and it will die (evidently we don’t want this).
Summarising it again: don’t make 10 small servers but make 2 big servers please. Thank you!
Ps: today my friend left this game because he literally can’t play with me. The reality is that people are leaving your game because they can’t play with their friends and comunities thank to these server limitations. Amazon without server capacity increase (just by 2k) your game will die again even if it is really good.
im not even sure the map is big enough for two thousand players.
There’s already way too many people in the same place at the same time as it is.

Not even part of my thought process at first but coming back on the forums and seeing anotification for someone click the heart on my post I remembered all the times I was trying to kill some miniboss to finish a quest, and had to hang out waiting on spawns long enough to kill it 10 times before I got credit because they’re was a hoard of other players there also trying to do it.
There were some goes where looking around before and after, nobody left, suggesting that nobody got credit because nobody personally did enough damage with all of us there. I’m not sure how exactly kill crediting works but there were those times nobody left after the kill, as opposed to goes where one or two people instantly run off to turn the quest in. If it is damage based there’s the additional problem that I’d be there at, say, level 20 while other people got to level 30 before doing the quest and I cant possibly do enough damage to get credit before they kill it.
Also, it’s really not much of a boss fight when it dies in 1 second from the entire hoard trying to hit it at once, and some of those spawn timers are really long.
but there is also completely empty areas. devoid of players. 3000 players limit instead of 2250 (yes they moved up slots from 2000 to 250 on some servers) would be better. however they ll need to add incentive to spread more everywhere.
Your friend absolutely can play with you. You just have to stop prioritizing your existing character over your friend and go join them in a new, less overpopulated server. Surely your friend is more important than your character, no? And in any case they are giving us those free server transfers soon enough.
