You don't need to grind even 1 minute

True eventually the developers help the new people to catch up. Anyway they got all the data so they can balance stuff

Can I get bigger visual progression at least? Why implement a patch that distances you from that top 1% if the new armor/weapon models aren’t ready.
It’s a shit update because they added numbers, but no visuals to go along with it.

I don’t need to reach peek. However I’d like to catch up in expertise and enjoy the voidbent (I just got).

Plus this only widens the gap between the 1% and the general player base.

Tax revenue has to be adjusted or reworked going into the settlement not pockets. War needs to be looked at. Siege on offense has no effect and deffesive spawn are broken.

And y’all really fucked the majority of the player base with taxes… Making it impossible to fight against…

I don’t really understand this topic. If you have BIS gear right now and after update if in order to get to 625 BIS will be exponentially faster and wayyy easier than people who don’t. In fact, any gear under 600 is practically worthless now.
After a few mutated dungeons you will have all 625 gear with still BIS. So, really i don’t get the topic here at all.

The fact that if you were okay with or spent a little money to get 599 gear, well hate to break it to you, but that gear just got a ton worse. It cannot be upgraded.

Hours spent doing dungeons and getting 600 BIS weapons? Well I will have those upgraded to 625 in first day of patch. 590 to 600 will be done with the stockpile of gypsum I have with a couple more regular dungeons.

Will be 625 in less than a day with still BIS.

This is particularly egregious because there are a handful of perks for skills on weapons that are incredibly, incredibly useful to the point where people spent large amounts of money getting 599 gear that had a good perk.

Now Amazon is once again changing the rules of the game “oh your 599 piece that’s nearly BIS because it has an OP weapon perk on it we won’t balance? It’s worth much less now. It’s staying at 599 and there’s nothing you can do”.

Yeah i completely agree and that’s why this topic makes no sense to me. In fact, the topic is actually completely wrong. The truth of the matter is that if you DON’T HAVE BIS or at the least 600 gs items then you will get even more behind with this patch.

unless you are in a guild that owns the top towns, in that case, you will be 625 on day 1 or 2

No doubt

I never go for BiS and always end up with gear that is crap after awhile. Then I quit.

I do stuff that I enjoy but most MMO devs don’t want to award the way I play.

Just the way it goes. No interest in zerging mobs/chests. No interest in doing dungeons every day (I like em, just clearly not enough apparently). I prefer PvP (all forms, only one rewards gear/gypsum), I like to gather and craft stuff (but not enough clearly, get a green couple times a week…) at this rate I’ll never have even mid-way expertise at they rate they are raising top GS.

So your advice is rubbish ;).

This is how it already works.

It cracks me up that so many people who don’t understand how things work complain about how things work.

Problem is, that between purple and yellow gear is one perk, one perk more on all gear items is significantly better. So staying on bis 599 gs item is far inferior than a bis 600gs item.

Man i generally dont understand why you need to grind for stats and perks, i hate it.

Guild wars 1 had the perfect gearing strategy for example in my opinion. You were quite cheap on bis items but they looked trash, but the important thing was, that you were competitive. If you wanted fancy looks you gotta grind for that prestige, and man knowing that you are competitive and having all the time grinding your 6th FoW armor was just so relaxing, no gearing pressure at all. The whole economy was about skins and prestige it was brilliant.

Actually with enjoying I wanted to say don’t focus too much on the grind because things will come out automatically after some time.
Here’s today during a concert I did in the church of Everfall in Midgard server.
I don’t belong any “Pro” guild, I just play randomly with my partner and we have fun.

Anyway some salty kids wants to complain endlessly lol those kids are totally crazy and I don’t pay attention to them anymore.

So your advice is rubbish ;).

I already see them like sub-humans with brain malformed, and melted like a puddle. And I tell you, I’m not very far from reality.

The thing is this, gonna explain twice for the special ones: you don’t need any BiS gear expecially if you make maths on them and you realize is just 1% stronger but cost 100 times more. Mathematically is not worth to go on the top of the top everytime. Expecially if rules changes. That’s it. I got called Toxic for saying something like that. LOL.

I really want to see the face of those kids that attack for no reason at all but probably are closed into a basement and not even their parents wants to see them.

Funny that are always the same 3-4 people and now I’m starting recognize their nicknames.

you’re actually 100% incorrect. if you did grind BiS and get a GS item 600 now you can make it 625. If you didn’t chase BiS and you have 599 now your gear is going to be useless. This update really shows out of touch amazon is with their game. make those who are already rich (EF/WW owners) who were able to geto GS 600 items richer. Yes they made dungeon gear drop at higher rates, but they didnt make crafted gear easier to craft. So those who want legendaries that aren’t on dungeon loot tables still will not be able to craft what they truly want. They need to drastically reduce the amount of mats needed to craft gear and need to reduce the incomes of EF/WW (by making more revenue generated by a town increase town upkeep taxes amount). All they are doing with this patch is essentially having us grind the same content over again. Close to quitting = /

To get the WH to 625 for pvp you do.

I don’t give a flying f***k about the BiS.
How the hell I have to explain this to you?
Even with BiS people suck ass. Jesus christ you’re a bunch of nerds

Just put wathever you find and matches your economical possibility ( in game ) and that’s it.
No one forces you to do any grind. You will not be able to do any hardcore content even with the gear of the gods on you with this mindset.
If you’re good at the game, you can do most of the stuff anyway.

The gear is close to a piece of cosmetics in the hands of a expert mmo player.

Instead, people that SUCKS at the game have to chase this damn BiS. And then they get obliterated every patch.

@TheBlackAbbot
I think you’ve given me the motivation to play NW more again. I had stopped for a few weeks there hut that wasn’t because I don’t enjoy the game… it was more about me wanting to play some other games in the meantime. Thanks!

If I can make even only 1 person realize what I’m talking about, I’ll be very happy.
I really hope so.
The best fun I had in the game was when some meteors exploded unexpectedly on the sky for the winter event, or when I catched some big/rare fish.
I never wanted to grind anything, I only want to have fun while playing.

Myself I really can’t be bothered much with grinding either. I just see it all as long term feats really. Getting gathering skills to 200, getting refining skills to 200, getting crafting skills to 200. Completing achievements and gathering titles. And as of recent raising things like expertise.

I know a lot of this all is a matter of months to even years to complete.

As such I just play, do whatever I feel like that day and that’s it. Everything I do in some way, shape or form helps me progress in this anyway. Most gathering is for example at 200, just fishing remaining. Refining has some time to go, but with a minimum of 155 definitely slowly getting there.

And the same really goes for things like weapon mastery and such as well. I just use whatever I feel like when killing trash, slowly leveling up more and more towards 20.

I’ve said it before, but to me New World really just feels like a well done 2021 version of Runescape.
