You guys didn't come from WoW or Runescape and it shows

To preface this obviously I think the glaring issues need to be resolved. I.E. queue times; figured out world hopping; afkers. That aside I think the game is in a great state. A lot of huge MMOs such as WoW and Runescape/ESO have player concerns and drawbacks that lose the community from time to time. WoW feels too streamlined and a massive part of the community hates that. Being able to fast travel and go to and from so easily makes the world feel much, much smaller. Runescape is 20 years down the line and still trying to figure out PvP with PvE. ESO is well, ESO, a nightmare of a game. I compare New World to a mix of Runescape/Skryim and the Divison. People loved the Division because of its smooth gameplay; PVP enabled areas THAT YOU CHOSE TO GO INTO, and fetch quests. If you feel that New World is too much work or too hard for you; it may be that it is. Just because some of us want an MMO that makes us grind and we enjoy the grind, doesn’t mean it should be easier just so you can level faster. Again I compare this to Runescape, you can casually play the game but don’t expect to PVP or have End Game gear if you don’t put in the hours. Perhaps many of you didn’t expect the game to be an actual, grinding MMO and wanted something more like CoD where everything is given to you in a battlepass. If you feel that you’re spending too much time leveling its probably because you forgot what a grind is. That being said, the need to tweak the crafting components and fix the server population so even the filthy casual players don’t have to wait 6 hours to play 60 minutes. Thank you for listening to my Ted Talk.

Everyone asking for a dungeon finder tool and mounts definitely came from WoW or something similar

You’re not an OG WoW player unless you’ve had to run through the Barrens on your troll feet up to lvl 25 and still have 15 more levels to go before you get your slow mount, if you can even afford it by then.

Bravo for those words. You stated it very well considering the amount of mud slinging that has been occurring since day 1.
Playing in the Alpha and the Beta, the game has come a long way from where it started. Is it perfect? No. There isn’t 1 game in the world that is perfect. Because what may be perfect for you, may not be perfect for me.
It is clear they have a vision and are moving forward. This is just the beginning. Please give it time. Provide feedback. Not insults, feedback. This will help them see what the community sees and from a different perspective. Together we can make this the best game we have ever played. Or we can bicker and argue over features that aren’t here and we are mad about it. Get mad, get passionate, then do something about it. Help the teams figure out how to make it better. Give them ideas and options.

Decent valid points. People complain about everything. I’m terms of the level progression time though, my question is why, why don’t the quests take us to end game? Why are the last levels drawn out time wise? The fear I have at least is that all our hard work may not be leading to a game with enough attention given on the back end.

I’m glad there isn’t a monthly subscription, because people like myself can revisit the game in a few months to see if that promise of a rewarding end game is fulfill or not… if the leveling is slow because it gives value or if the value isn’t there and the content is meant to be slow so eventually Amazon could sell exp pots.

Either way, people who like the game should play, hate it? Leave. Not sure? then ask yourself what is it that you desire in a game and whether the devs are on board with that vision or it if they have different motivations that will collide with your own.

Bah.

You’re not an OG WoW player unless you’re a NE Druid who had to run through 30+ zones on the other continent at level 15 to complete a class quest!

Yeah also the queues for outpost rush are too long. If ags had played wow they’d know you’d need cross server battlegrounds for fast queues. You’d also increase the eligible player pool by expanding the level range, maybe 50-60 for example.

Also can we get rid of the afk leeches in outpost rush…oh wait this hasn’t happened yet? Soon
