I get that these guys get a lot of views but trying to hype a game with a bunch of content creators that don’t actually play the game anymore doesn’t really work. I watch Asmongold sometimes because he can be entertaining. I can tell you that anybody in chat that watches him thinks NW is trash. They aren’t going to change their opinion on it just because of this. Even when Asmon was talking NW up and telling everyone he loves it… the chat bashed NW.
Doesn’t seem really like a good move to me.
While I don’t care for most streamers and streamer culture (and only a small part of that is bitterness because if that was a thing when I was young and single and childless, I’d have given it a shot lol)…
Anything that might bring more players back to the game is a good thing.
And it’s not like this is the ONE AND ONLY CHANCE for AGS to leverage influencers and marketing spend to get more eyeballs on the game…
why would you justify a bad decision by saying there are other chances. I think we both know this game needs every advantage it can get. The next time there is a chance like this is probably an expansion or a new region, which may not be coming for a while

I mean… It’s a bad color (nobody was hoping for purple fire eyes). It’s also associated with one of the three factions.

I can tell you’re from marketing/advertising/sales team.
They’re putting more effort in reeling in famous streamers than they are fixing the game.
I’m gonna to take that as an insult but I’m also okay with that

I don’t think this event is for us longtime players… i think its been created to convince players who quit and players who know nothing about the game to join.
Those content creators have massive audiences.
This is an ‘exclusive sneak peak’ they can give those people.
People new to the game or who played it several months ago may feel tempted to return.
The skin/content drop is for current players. They know we would just minimize the stream on a spare monitor anyway
(its simply put: silly, but sadly this method works for many games)
PVE is one of the few things in this game that is very playable. With only 100 people on my server, I can’t really judge the current state of the expeditions or anything else that FORCES to try for hours to join in with a group. I still love this game, I’m just so disappointed how damn hard AGS has made it for a solo player to get into a group now and then. I’m also disappointed that a group finder is not even a planned future upgrade. Hope I’m wrong.
Lmao, Asmongold already called the New World Developers morons for all the bugs. That sounds like a logical way to start a newly renovated expedition. Right in the middle of one of the worse patch releases since launch.
I definitely see how inviting very influential game reviewers to an expedition probably untested and at the worse possible shape a game can be in after 6 months.
I knew AGS had what it takes to turn this game around. The decision making at the beginning of NW’s life was a little rocky, but the devs really seem to have things under control now. I am very confident that they are making the right choices and definitely thinking of ways to bring in new players.

When was this? because as far as ive seen, the past months hes praised the changes theyve made. + its not hard to see his pov when you see a game thats bugged out of his mind, we just happen to be more hopeful of the game because we enjoy it and were more invested. He said he was gonna return to the game after a content update regardless of them inviting him
Honestly in the state the game is in, this could backfire terribly.
Instead of selling the game on positive new content, you’ll get streamers complaining about lag, weird stutters, abilities not casting, legs going sideways. Same ol sh*t.
Because lets face it, the game was smoother several patches ago.
But if thats what it takes to light a fire under their asses to do something about it, then so be it.
Ive been in 3 companys since launch whos governor and consul ranks quit because pvp was not a stable environment and with new videos showing how bad it is, it aint selling nothing.
Not sure why you are turning this into a hater thing. It’s a fact combat is broken and Asmon of all streamers has the testicular capacity to call it out when it’s obviously broken.
