Personally I think if we get ridable horses it will be done in a way we must feed it or we can’t ride it. I hope eventually there is mount breeding . You see the saddle too?

“They all drowned when we, the pigs and cows didn’t” Isn’t holding up to good anymore. Maybe a few survived and live on the beaches somewhere. Gotta go tame one with a carrot or something.
Heres some more ideas:
Horse for some reason can’t sprint forever like you can, so you have to manage their stamina. Slowest horse speed is just 20%. Fastest is 75% gallop, but you can’t sustain it for long. You need to feed your horse random vegetables and stuff and give it water all the time, and keep it safe from enemies, or it will die. You can park your horse near your campsite for safe keeping. You can’t summon/desummon this horse, it’s a physical NPC. You have to ride it back to town. If you die, you have to go find it. You can buy a pen at a Stable in each town where you can keep your horse for a fee.
There is always a way to get anything back in a video game or a TV show.
I’m kind of disappointed… There’s a storyline about taming wild animals and there’s a “found note page” saying that despite their best efforts, horses didn’t survive or something like that. I would have rather seen “technology” progress over time to machines.
In the meantime, walking is fine. GW1 did it for their entire life.
If they do institute mounts eventually, I was hoping for a new trade craft that tames and sells mounts from existing animals such as the elk, bears and that one giant lion. Horses are just… meh…

I hope it is real. I’d be one of the first to buy a horse or any other kind of mount.
I get that you’re into lore - but the Corruption wasnt always present on the island as Im sure you know. So there could have been plenty of opportunity for Horses to still survive in other regions as there was a civilization before the corruption, too.
Good idea! but I think mounts should be realistic instead of the just popping into reality on the press of a button.
