I suggest you get in the grav well threads then. Your posts are pretty geared toward just nerfing Ice shower because it counters you.
Take grass into consideration, you can see the grass distance from the void and second screen.

Are you trying to help this game get fkn fixed or just crying from your fixation on ice shower man? Ice shower is broken mechanic, and everyone wants it nerfed, but this is a gravity well and ice shower problem. Caused by Gravity well in the first place.

are you serious man? This issue has been happening with the ice shower for 5 months now man. Ive had to fuckin deal with it this whole time. It seems people only care when it effects them. This issue 100% was not caused by the gravity well. 100% garantee that.
YES there are issues with this happening with a gravity well. But that wasn’t THIS video. This was what typically happens with ice showers.
I can promise you on my mothers life, this has been happening wayyy before the gravity well was able to root people

But people on forum will just be people on forum, not actually playing or testing inside game, but smoking weed and chilling on forums giving wrong infos to devs, infos that may turn into updates.

I showed you how Gravity Well works, in non-laggy areas, in a laggy area it could be even far worse. You have same instance here, but whatever. This is not a healthy environment.

I agree people jump at arms over things they don’t even understand themselves.
But thats why I was so adamant on my stance here. What happened with that ice shower has happened to me hundreds upon hundreds of times. You begin to pick up on its quirks and patterns. The gravity well issue is new and I can understand when it could be confused with this video showing both in such close proximety.
I agree people complain way too much. Thats why I got sooo upset because the ice gauntlet issue has been happening for 5 months, and as soon as theres a gravity well near it, people now fully ASSUME it was the gravity well, without thinking about the ice gauntlet.
I’m seeing way more “nerf the gravity well” posts rather than “fix the desync caused from GA/IG roots” and it gets me super upset knowing ive had to deal with this issue farrr longer than the rest.

You know its a ICE GAUNTLET right? It has the name ICE in it. The weapon is and/or revolve around slows/roots. You are just anti-IG… Hes casting the shower after the rubberband, u know that that means? It cant be the shower that caused it, 100% the grav well.

The gravity well ( a well of a gravitational force) can cause the same desync bug that the Ice shower causes.
However, in this issue, the desync and rubberband effect was caused from the Ice shower, not the gravity well.
Its pretty ill-conceived to think an ice shower would have greater effects on a person rather than a well of gravitation force. Literally the power of a temporary small black hole.
I can calmly agree that you are correct. Its niether ice gauntlet nor great axe. Its the desync caused from roots. Definitely this is a server issue not a weapon issue.

replace all root debuffs with 90% frostbite. Add a 1s stun in place of the root from stepping in ice shower. If you break the stun with damage, they are free to movement ability away. roots interrupting movement abilities is where the desync happens. Namely with gravity well and ice shower. Scream applies root directly from the caster and has a stagger which seems to mitigate rubberbanding. They ALL cause a lot of lag.
Root interrupting your momentum seems to be prioritized way higher than it should be. It’s a root - not a taser. It can afford the guy a half step (you’re still in recovery from using the root anyway) if it means the server won’t bug out. I don’t really see the point of it as a debuff when a stagger/stun + 99% frostbite does the same thing except let them use a movement ability after being hit and charge cant be stopped by the abilities given it is unstoppable. That seems fair given how strong roots are.

If you think this was the ice shower and not the gravity well I don’t know what to say to you. The other player obviously saw him in the gravity well and froze him there. On the video creators client it thought he got away from the Gravity Well so that is what he saw. He obviously didn’t so he was pulled back into it. If you saw this from the GA players point of view he would have thrown the gravity well and the player would have been stuck in it the whole time. The server confirmed that was what really happened and pulls him back into it. You don’t get pulled back into abilities that were cast after you left, I will bet any amount of coin you can’t make a clip of that happening. Both abilities cause the same amount of desync at this point not sure what your bias point is in pretending that ice shower is causing the desync in this situation.
Looks like the ice shower to me. The devs probably did something weird when they made it so that people can’t just dodge through it.
Edit: but seeing as they didn’t dodge the grav, it probably rooted the player and then the shower was cast on top of them. Just some good old desync, I guess.
Its pretty straightforward,
Player A: Stucked player
Player B: Gravwel player
Player C: Ice Mage player
- Player A got pulled in by player B gravwell (this part does not show from player A screen). Remember, the new gravwel is PULLED you in, into the center and will root you.
- On Player C’s (ice mage) screen, he sees player A stuck into gravwel root and goes “nice gravwel!, let me put ice shower into him”.
- Back to player A, he thought he got away but, nope! All this information was somehow delayed and shown to him after a few seconds.
