YAY! More people assuming what is seen in discussion is the popular decision … Seems like a very familiar amateur move that occurred the past few years.
I was hoping they’d say something like “We looked at metrics and found that X was an outlier and also the design intent of the weapon is Y, so we felt that we wanted to tune it this way in order to accomplish Z”.
Or “Hey guys, we see your feedback about the underwhelming visuals of X and we feel Y”.
Sure, my favorite weapon is still gutted and I dislike it, but at least then I may understand what the thought process is, even if I may disagree. Right now, I’m just completely confused about what certain weapon niches are even supposed to be.
As it stands, it just feels like devs are completely out of touch.
I sympathize. On the communication front I was thinking I might sacrifice a goat and then read its entrails. Much like divining the intent of the gods in the pre-science world, this might allow me to understand WTF is going on at AGS most days.
They did? they replied to quite lot post . and want to see how it plays out. only 1% of the community even gave feedback . Apparently replying in the actual feedback threads don’t count as feedback to you so I think its you with the issue that you are upset your firestaff cant 2 shot geared 60’s anymore or deal 10k crits in PVE.
My Fire Staff never did those things, so no, I’m not really upset about that.
But sure, I’ll bite.
There are 1,692 replies to the weapon balancing feedback threads. Do you know how many dev responses there are across all of them, aside from the initial post?
None. Zero. Zip. Nada.
And considering that the Dev Tracker doesn’t show a single response to feedback from Nov 9th when PTR was released through today, I feel like I may not be the one who is blind.
There’s plenty about dupes and trading and furnishings and all that jazz, though. Nothing about addressing feedback.
Sorry, I already left my feedback in the thread specifically designed for that. This thread isn’t about Fire Staff (though I will probably talk about it from time to time, since it’s what I know).
I’m also curious about other things as well, though, such as the overwhelming amount of people who disliked the really weak Void Gauntlet light/heavy visuals or the fact that Void Blade is really clunky as a toggle that can be interrupted during its cast and go on full cd.
Or perhaps all of the feedback from Musket and Spear players regarding how most of the buffs, while appreciated, aren’t really doing a lot to address how clunky they are to play.
It’s true, I actually spent some quality time to address them with my feedback and I know others did as well. I don’t think I saw one response in those threads.
