I just want to point out that you are a hardcore player if you play that much.
Damn wish he gave me all his stuff.
Tis never a good idea to rage quit tbh, sometimes with enough pissing and moaning in the forums you can get the powers that be to see reason.
Yes I know I am a hardcore player… But I understand that the casuals make or break a great game because they pay the bills which allow me to play a game I enjoy.
They are the base of the pyramid I get to enjoy the game because THEY are the true structure that allows me to be at the elite golden top of it.
Without the base the top cannot touch the sky.
I am just one of those elite players that actually understand this.
I don’t need casuals to have fun in a game and casuals don’t need me to have fun. Why can’t we have a game that caters to hardcore players for once? There are so many other games that caters to casual payers.
I would not have any problems what so ever to have fun in this game as a casual though. I would do what I do now but in a little lower gearscore and with less profession maxed out.
This is a designer issue… Maybe… just maybe they shouldn’t have allowed such high level gear to drop like candy and be BOE.
That isn’t the players fault … and also a new player isn’t going to afford BIS… but yes a janky 580 sword with focus on it isn’t optimal and thus sells cheaply… Again not the players fault designers chose a random stat/perk system. Oh look they are fixing that with crafting a little gasp
So yeah all games have trickle down gear… or when Gasp a new expansion A green level 51 piece would have equal stats then the best level 50 old raid gear since its obsolete now. That is the life of an MMO gear eventually gets saturated and no one needs it anymore.
They went with this diablo style loot system where 1 in 200 drops might give you the stat and 2 of the perks you actually want on that specific item.
Bullcrap, your just annoyed cause you will have to touch the sky on your own instead of steppin on someone’s back as they will be able to touch the sky too.
they should have just caterd to the hardcore pvp niche that provides content for itself instead of trying to appeal to you never satisfied crybabies who zerg rush to 60 in a week and then whine about lack of content.
In trying to please both they have failed both.
This is a big part of the problem and there are ways to fix this as well.
If they would have created 3 classes, like tank/heals, Melee Dps , and mages
So you had to level 3 alts instead of just the weapon itself this would have helped and allowed you to transfer items between the family would have also been useful. But they took the one character approach… to make a new alt is to completely start o a new server with 0…
How exactly am i not touching the sky myself…
200 armorer
200 engineer
187 weapon smith
200 cooking
100’s in the others i havent leveled
0 funneling to me harvested or bought it cheap off the trader.
All harvesting 200…
I got heavy and medium void and just need motes for the cloth set.
Crafted engineering weapons … how exactly did i step on anyones back… I worked for that given the path they allowed me to do zerg grinds… I grinded gathering as they gave me that option.
For a new player in 5 months why would the ever go the crafting route again?
I was going off your words not mine mate, so I dunno what you are bitching about in the first place if you pyramid analogy was bs to start with…
Crafting is a coin dump and grind and they allow you to do it all instead of pick one to master
If you need a name, you can blame the mmo killer John Smedley. Known for his radical and largely disliked changes to a plethora of mmos, resulting in their timely demise. Look at his wiki page and where he used to work, as well as the page for star wars galaxies if you want more info.
I support this post!
Unsure what about the original expertise system makes anyone think it was aimed at making any segment of the population happy.
AGS designed it for their own metrics, not for us.
That was smart huh??
A very insightful, well reasoned and articulate response. /s
I like to put as much thought into my responses as the one I’m responding to.
You do you.
I will, thank you! I would have a much more well thought out response if anyone would like to present their argument without insults and resorting to base accusations of entitlement.
I hear ya. That would be nice, wouldnt it?
