Your client could not be authenticated

How can i solve this?

Hi there, the reason why your client can not be authenticated is that the client version is corrupted, and while steam says it’s running the latest version, the server says otherwise.

There’s a code intact within the server of New World that does an integrity check when you click play (connect to a server) or when the integrity check runs and checks the connection state of the client to the server, and if it does not meet par to par with the requirements the server sets, it will give you that authentication issue.

In other words, if the server says; Hi, I’m looking for version 12.0.0.1! → And in response, your client says Hi, I’m 12.0.0.0! Then this issue will come up, it could also be that your client says I’m 12.0.0.1, but however it does not meet the requirements and specifications the server wants, in terms of data and certain code lines, which ends up causing an auth-token issue.

  • This option might be annoying for those who encounter it and whatnot, but it’s actually pivotal in game development as in to keep people from running older clients and older codes, which basically could make them do things that they can’t anymore, or see things that are no longer there, etc, etc.

Anyways, with all that information being said, you have 2 options;

  • 1 Reinstall the game completely.
  • 2 Verify the integrity files of steam, and hopefully, it will fix that issue and find any corrupted files within the client. (This might take up to 10-45 minutes depending on your system)
    If you do not know how to verify the integrity files of your steam, do let me know and I’ll help you
