Prevent my fellow gamers from making the same mistake and having a moment of panic that I did.
If you put something into the new load outs it’s not shown in your normal inventory. I thought I scrapped my weapon for a couple minutes.

Also you can move it back into inventory and out of the set to reverse it.
I like it, unclutters the rest of my gear immensely and provides a place to store tons of pots.
I also love it, don’t have to stare at my luck gear all the time now. Just scared me for a couple minutes thinking I scrapped my

There IS an issue where you can permanently destroy you’re equipment though. AGS NEEDS to address it and it’s a simple solution.
First of all I wanted to try the loadouts on PTR and did the same mistake as a friend AND my wife did already on live. Lost EVERY piece of GS625 armor they had! Yes, the gear slot is a holding area for your stuff. However, it’s dangerous in it’s current state!
If you import your gear into a gear slot ( where it physically holds everything ) your inventory gear you see is temporary per se, and THIS is where it gets dangerous.
A perfect solution to this is if AGS would add this little feature to it:
“If ANYTHING is in a gear slot, disable the “import” button.”
Simple and safe! Other than this, I love the gear set slots.
In the mean time to be safe, one way to look at it is the gear slots are “physical” once you import, and what your wearing becomes “copies” of what’s in them. If ANYTHING is in your gear slot, NEVER press the import button again for that slot.
You are a genius! Literally doing this tomorrow. Why copy them in all of my sets when I can store separate stacks!!!
Doh!
For those that are gutsey and want to test my above post, do the following but PLEASE use junk gear:
Create a “set #1” and import it into set 1 slot. The create a set #2 and import it into set 2 slot.
Now just import into set 1 again. Boom! Set #1 is completely destroyed and now you have two set #2’s in both gear slots.
Did this already dozens of times before reading you post… it dumps the gear back into inventory.
Does not if item is used in any other slot. But yea it does dump if item was only in that one gear set.
Does get confusing especially with pots…
So far I like it. So it even improves the use of the gear not in gear slots since it drastically reduces bag clutter.
Now imagine a world where inventory management is free.
