Your thoughts on the Varangian Knights Order?

Really liking this dynamic, great introduction to a non-corrupted faction.

Couple questions.

  1. Myriddan, who is this Wizard, what did he do?
  2. Attalus, perhaps Attalus I of Greece? (A historical theme) (Could this tie into Brimstone Sands then?)
  3. Is there a Human Kingdom up north that dislikes the South and the companies?
  4. “The Crimson Sickness, is still around” (paraphrasing). (Is it not as much an issue up north beyond the Mountain?)

There is a lot of flavor here, I’m really curious what you guys think?

They’re really interesting. In real history, the Varangians were Vikings who went into Russia and eventually became mercenaries and personal guards for the Byzantine Empire. What are they doing on the island? Since Romans and other cultures have settlements on the island, I’m guessing the Varangians settled there as well, only up north.
